How this is calculated
- โขTake-home = gross โ federal income tax โ provincial income tax โ CPP โ EI.
- โขProvincial tax is modelled for Ontario, BC and Alberta. Other provinces and Quebec are not yet included. Pick "Other" and the result shows federal + CPP/EI only, which understates your total.
- โขIncome tax is computed on gross employment income net of the basic personal amount; RRSP deductions and the CPP/CPP2 tax credit & deduction are not modelled (slightly overstates tax).
- โขOntario surtax and health premium, and the federal BPA phase-out above ~$181,440, are not modelled.
- โขEstimate for guidance only, not tax advice.

Canada take-home pay, answered
Which provinces are covered?
Ontario, British Columbia and Alberta have their own brackets modelled. Other provinces and Quebec are not included yet. Pick "Other" and the result shows federal tax plus CPP and EI only, which understates your total deductions.
Are RRSP contributions included?
No. Income tax is computed on gross employment income net of the basic personal amount. RRSP deductions and the CPP/CPP2 tax credit and deduction are not modelled, which slightly overstates the tax you pay.
What about the Ontario surtax and health premium?
Neither is modelled, and nor is the federal basic-personal-amount phase-out above roughly $181,440. If you are near those thresholds, treat this as a floor rather than a precise figure.
Which tax year does this use?
2026, using federal and provincial brackets plus the CRA's 2026 CPP, CPP2 and EI figures. Sources are linked directly under the result.
