Standard
Classic resume template
A traditional single-column serif layout. The safest thing to send when you do not know who or what is reading.

Certified limits
The point where the layout engine still keeps every bullet you wrote. One item past each of these, something gets hidden or the page count grows.

Who this suits
- Conservative industries: law, finance, government, older institutions
- Any application where standing out on layout is a risk rather than a benefit
- The safe default when the employer's system is unknown
Where it is the wrong pick
Worth saying plainly, because a template that suits everyone suits nobody.
- Design and creative roles where the resume is itself a work sample
- Anyone who needs a sidebar to surface a long skills list quickly
What the design actually does
- Single column, standard headings, no graphics anywhere
- Serif body type, which reads as conventional rather than dated at print sizes
- The least unusual document in the set, which is the entire point
What certified means
Proven by a test
- The content limits below are measured, not estimated. Each is the point where the layout engine still keeps every bullet you wrote.
- One item past each limit, the engine either hides something or needs another page. A test asserts both halves, so a limit cannot be quietly raised.
- Every section type renders: summary, experience, projects, education, skills, certifications, achievements, and anything custom.
- Long company names and long URLs wrap instead of running off the page.
- Nothing but filler sections is ever dropped to make content fit, and roles are never reordered.
Not yet proven
- Pixel-level visual baselines are not yet automated, so a spacing regression would be caught by review rather than by a test.
- PDF text extraction rates are not yet measured per template. The export path is shared by all of them, but that is an argument, not a measurement.
Other certified templates
Limits measured 2026-08-31 against the layout engine, and re-checked on every build. If a limit here stops being true, the build fails before the page can ship.
